TIRE SALES APPLICATION PROGRAM AT LAM JAYA WEB-BASED STORE

Along with the development of technology and information at this time, especially the world of computers is growing very rapidly, coupled with the presence of information technology that increasingly plays a role in the world of work. By using the right information technology tools, all human activities in the work can be done easily, efficiency and save time and cost, monitored and represented in accordance with the calculations and rules of the game that have been set. One of the information tools is the Internet, an unlimited global on-line network that provides millions of types of information. Internet is a connection facility of a website that wants to make itself as a social system that can be accepted by users and can be used as a positive thing Is a technique of collecting data, news, facts and information in the field that the process can be done by asking directly to the parties who can provide information about the problem that is being researched or indirectly such as making a phone call, emails and letters (written interviews)..

 

 


Introduction

Along with the development of technology and information at this time, especially the world of computers is growing very rapidly, coupled with the presence of information technology that increasingly plays a role in the world of work (Rosa, 2014). By using the right information technology tools, all human activities in the work can be done easily, efficiency and save time and cost, monitored and represented in accordance with the calculations and rules of the game that have been set (Enterprise, 2016). One of the information tools is the Internet, an unlimited global on-line network that provides millions of types of information. Internet is a connection facility of a website that wants to make itself as a social system that is acceptable to users and can be used as a positive thing (Indrajani, 2011). The Era of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital innovation lead to dynamic changes in the business environment, where business transactions continue to shift from cash-based transactions to electronic-based transactions (Rastogi et al., 2018).

As is known also the development of computer-based information technology is more likely to be able to meet the needs of information more quickly and accurately, through cyberspace better known as internet media (Nurkarsa, 2021). In internet media, the term Electronic Commerce or e-commerce is now a broad picture of the scope of technology, processes and practices that can conduct business transactions without using paper as a means of transaction mechanisms. This can be done in various ways, such as using Email, Electronic Data Interchange, or World Wide Web (WWW) involving domestic and international communities (Niranjanamurthy, Kavyashree, Jagannath, & Chahar, 2013).

Lam Jaya shop is one of the distributors of motorcycle tires with the brand Corsa. Lam Jaya shop is located in Lemah Abang-Cikarang precisely in Cikarang Regency (Fatonah, Yulandari, & Wibowo, 2018). This store sells various types of tires with the Corsa brand, but in the sales transactions are still using manual or uncomputerized means, namely by recording the results of sales transactions into books and storing sales receipts (Nugroho, 2015). This is an obstacle dikarnakan often loss of sales receipt data so as to hinder the process of presenting reports of sales transaction results. In addition, the search for goods data at the time of making a sales transaction takes a long time, because in the process of searching only by using the list of goods notebook (Pratama & Putu, 2014).

Based on the description above, the author designed a program for the sale of motorcycle tires at Toko Lam jaya which is expected to be able to help in running its business better and is expected to improve results and better quality, especially in terms of processing data on motorcycle tire sales transactions (Muchlis, 2020).

Based on the problems and description above, the author raised the julul "Tire Sales Application Program At Lam Jaya Web-Based Store".

 

Method

Data collection techniques are carried out to obtain all information and data related to the need for completion of the final task. As for the things that are done as follows:

1.       Field Studies

It is a research design that combines literature searches and surveys based on experience or case studies where researchers attempt to identify important variables and balance between them in a particular sproblem. Field studies can include observations and interviews of the objects studied.

a.       Observation

The method is carried out to systematically identify data done either by paying attention directly or indirectly to the objects studied and taking visual data according to research needs so that no data is missed in the development of sales information system in Toko Lam Jaya using PHP and MySql.

b.       Interview

Is a technique of collecting data, news, facts and information in the field that the process can be done by asking directly to the parties who can provide information about the problem that is being researched or indirectly such as making telephone, email and letter (written interview).

2.       Literature Studies

Efforts made by the author to gather information relevant to topics and issues that will or are being researched. The information can be obtained from scientific books, research reports, scientific papers, thesis and dissertations, regulations, statutes, yearbooks, encyclopedias and written sources both printed and electronic and internet.

Conclusion

Based on the discussion about the sales application program in Toko Lam Jaya, the author can conclude as follows: 1) The process of recording sales and reports that are still manual resulting in data errors and also scattered so that data appears in the store often the occurrence of data loss. 2) With the sales system in Toko Lam Jaya, the business process carried out can be well organized.
